You could be the # 1 recruiter in your MLM Company but will it be around forever? It sure would be disappointing to build a huge organization but have that taken away from you. I believe the four elements for long term success are would you buy the product at the price given if no commission was paid, is the commission plan generous on the front end and back end, have the right mentors in your organization, and have a simple training system in place.

Mlm network marketing has an industry full of opportunities with high marked up products. A product or service will be easier to sell if it is at a competitive price point. A good question to ask yourself is would you buy the product if you did not have a business opportunity attached to it? Most people that fail answer no to that question so their lack of belief shows to other prospects. I think it is important to do research about the price point of the product. When you can get the same product on ebay for one-third of the price it makes it a tough sell.

Mlm network marketing has a perception that only the people at the top make money. In most organization the compensation is set up where the top marketers make the highest commission. Now keep in mind that these distributors at the top did start with 0 customers and distributors. Everyone does start from scratch in this industry. Majority of mlm network marketers start in network marketing because they are living paycheck to paycheck. However, if they don’t make a profit in the first month or two some will move on. I believe each prospect should make a six-twelve month commitment. However, the reality in today’s economy the choices come down to staying on an auto-ship or putting food on the table. A good company should pay a realistic commission where you can make a profit in 3 months or less with consistent sponsoring mlm efforts. I am also a big believer in having the highest back end commissions for a member making it to the top level. The member deserved it because he or she recruited some serious leaders in the company’s organization at that point. This is the walk away residual income a person is looking for.

Having the right mentors in your organization is huge if you want to build an income. Most mlm network marketing opportunities have the blind leading the blind. Would you want to use the same strategies that your upline is having no success with? Of course not, you want to find out who is the best in your organization and duplicate the same strategies. It helps to have a great sponsor but don’t just depend on your sponsor. Your sponsor may or may not stay in the business. You want to talk to your top producers and learn everything they know and use those strategies.

Having the right training in your mlm network marketing company is essential for success. Hype of what you can make will only get you so far. You need training for you to follow and have that training to pass on to your newest members. Once you have a game plan that works for several people it should work for yourself and others you bring in. Remember the market is not saturated, 50,000 people every week are looking for home base business opportunities as well as struggling mlm network marketers looking for a new mentor. A simple training process should have step-by-step training videos, written instructions, and even provide technical and customer support through phone, forum, or email.

Choosing the right mlm network marketing is a huge decision. In addition to steps I mentioned it’s important to do other research. Find out how long a company has been in business, check the better business bureau report, speak to other people in the industry, and if it is a public company ready the financial report. In a good economy 90% of new business fail the first year. This does not even income mlm network marketing companies. Be careful when choosing a brand new pre-launch opportunity. Some of these programs operate on hype only. The business owner is begging for money now but does not provide much training support or have personal communication with their members. It is really impressive when a business owner will speak one on one with a member. I understand a business owner will not have time to speak with everyone. However, it establishes good credibility when the owner can be on webinars, and at least stay in communication through email. Very informative post!
When joining a company people forget the most important thing:
    doing their due diligence.

One of the biggest mistakes network marketers make when choosing a company is forgetting to ask themselves some key questions:
Does the company management have experience with integrity?
Am I going to get paid early, fairly and often?
Does the company have exceptional products at reasonable prices?

Critical thinking really pays off in the long run.

Your article is well written. I especially agree with your statement about having the right mentors. People need to take the time to find someone they like and trust to work with. I look forward to reading more of your post!
