Calling your Leads

There is a lot of conflicting information on the net on rather or not to be calling your leads that enter your website. Some marketers say their business is on autopilot, some marketers only return phone calls, and others will call every phone lead that enters their website. It is a personal choice and during my article I will explain my opinion.

In my opinion you should call back all your leads that leave a phone number. Make a quick phone call to introduce yourself. Then, ask your prospect what they liked about your website. Keep the phone call brief and not sales oriented. Keep in mind most people take 7-10 times to review something before signing up. Calling your leads will give you an advantage over the competition. Most of the time when a prospect is exploring a business opportunity or marketing tool they will opt into multiple sites to review more information.

Can you make money online without calling your leads? In my 7 years of experience making money online is that you can make money in the short term only. Also, you can make money hiding behind your computer in affiliate marketing but a slim chance to make money doing network marketing. I will explain the differences between the two in my next paragraph.

Affiliate marketing is as simple as getting paid to sell a marketing tool that can help another marketers business. Once a marketer makes the impulse decision to buy they may continue to use the marketing product for life regardless if a relationship is started through the phone or offline. Network marketing takes more trust to keep someone in the business. I find the most successful network marketers are selling themselves first before pitching their opportunity. Without a consistent rapport with your network marketing downline the average person will move on to the next opportunity within 3 months.

There is also an alternative to calling your leads. You also want to get your leads calling you. When advertising let your prospects know you are on Facebook and have Skype etc.. Send valuable emails with video and great articles about yourself and beliefs you have. This is a good way to show your prospects that you are real. Remember like I mentioned earlier most people don’t buy the first time they see your site. Be consistent and remember the multiple ways to work your business to get people attracted to join you. Most the tools are Free so it is just a matter of taking action.

The most important thing to understand is the difference between generating your own leads and buying leads. Buying leads did not work for me and for most people in the home base arena. When you call a lead that you bought the lead never heard of your marketing tool or business that you are in. Most of the leads are also sold to several marketers so you will get annoyed people just like a cold call. However, if you generate your own leads majority of your prospects will remember seeing your name affiliated with the website that you are promoted. Plus you can automate your system to invite your prospects to learn more about you on you tube, face book, and your blog. The key is to offer value that your prospects can relate to. You want to be a solution provider to your prospects problems. Really listening when you are calling your leads will help your conversion. The more you brand yourself as a leader will also get more people contacting you before you get a chance to contact them.
